About me

Ramia Suleiman was born in 1975 in Syria, currently lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

She graduated from Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University, and received her BA and MA in Sculpture—with honours.

After completing her degree, Ramia worked in Damascus as a freelance artist for more than15 years. She Implemented various projects in all their stages; designing, sculpting and assembling. Have participated in more than 25 group exhibitions and 7 solo shows.

In 2012 she moved to Beirut, Lebanon, where she set up with her colleague “ Artafif”, a studio which works on long-term art and design projects. Ramia delved even more into her photographic practice, this interest was cultivated whilst working as an animator with a short film “ My Name Is L” 2015, and further developed when she joined the documentary “The Long Season” 2017 as a co-camera woman.
